This is the Swazi Music Industry

I've been a spectator for five years and more, I've been paying attention to our local music industry and watched it grow.

Today I'm going to give an honest outline about our growing industry.

Too many artists, less shows:

The Swazi music industry consists of many upcoming and reigning artists but fact is we don't know some of their work, not because we don't want to but because they have no or less shows for them to showcase their talent. One thing I'm sure of is that, we do have talented cats but all they need are shows to prove, right now all they need is more support.

We have less or no female pioneers(producers, musicians)

It kills me when I look around us, so many woman who are dying to get in the game, but problem is pride, fright and maybe the way things are thus there's no inspiration for them.

Less income from releases

Our very own artists are hungry and passionate that's why you usually find out that, so many of them release albums or mix tapes now and then, they love what they do. But the money spend while publishing their music and album isn't worth what they usually get when selling the merchandise, thus they grow cold feet.

Too much none paying shows.

As much as they can get booked they get no cent from the shows they spend petrol and money going to. Reason I'm talking about such things is because these are things that make our industry lag behind and in return,  everyone underestimates the Swazi music industry.
